Step 1 - Review the Liberty Tax franchise opportunity: please click on the red boxes above to get access to a wealth of information about franchise opportunities at Liberty. To start the process with Liberty Tax Service, you will need to complete and submit the online Request Franchise Information Form.
Upon receipt by Liberty Tax, we will send you information on the next steps, a brochure and video providing additional information about our franchise opportunity.
In addition, a franchise development representative will get in touch with you to answer any questions about franchise opportunities with Liberty that you may have at this point in the process
Step 2 - Mutual Evaluation Process: It is time to begin our mutual evaluation process. You will get to know more about us, we will get to know more about you, and we will work together toward the franchise opportunity that will be best for both of us.
You are also invited to join an informational conference call hosted by our President and CEO, John Hewitt. These calls provide an overview of the Liberty Tax franchise opportunity and an excellent chance for you to ask questions of Mr. Hewitt.
Step 3 - Finalize Your Plans: You're very close. Now is the time to submit the "Request for Consideration" form. Once your Franchise Development Representative responds, he/she will answer any of your questions and confirm your preliminary potential as a franchisee candidate. We will also send you an invitation to attend an upcoming “Discovery Weekend” at our Corporate Headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia where you will see what the Liberty Tax franchise opportunity and culture is all about. You'll have the chance to meet our corporate staff, receive a copy of our Franchise Disclosure Document, ask any questions you may have, visit our offices and learn more about the available territories and franchise opportunities in your specific area.
Step 4 - Approval Process: By law, from the date of receipt of the Franchise Disclosure Document, we cannot execute contracts with you until after a minimum of 14 calendar days. This is to provide you plenty of time to review the documents and make a final decision to proceed.
Once you have made a decision that Liberty Tax is the right franchise opportunity for you, you will send your completed “Confidential Franchise Application”, franchise fee and territory selection for approval. Upon receipt, we will schedule a formal interview. The process to become a Liberty Tax Service franchisee will culminate with your attendance and completion of our five-and-a-half-day Effective Operations Training course and the signing of your franchise agreement.
